Welcome to The Greyhound,

Welcome to this quality 18th Century Coaching Inn set in the heart of the picture book Dorset village of Sydling St Nicholas.

The village itself is mentioned in the Doomsday Book of 1086 and cannot fail to impress with its quiet beauty and charm, but is still close to local attractions, sporting activities, and of course the World Heritage Jurassic Coast.

The Inn oozes charm and character and is currently Dorset’s Dining Pub of the year in the 2009 Good Pub Guide. In winter it boasts log fires to welcome diners and drinkers alike and 6 well appointed en suite double bedrooms in the Coach House, including a four poster.

Our award winning Chefs offer a choice of excellent cuisine using only the finest local ingredients and meals are served either in our cosy restaurant, with its own well or in the comfortable bar with a relaxed atmosphere. An extensive wine list is available together with real ales and continental lagers.
